PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Police have charged a Portland man with murder in the death of his partner six days after she was found dead in their home.

Portland police say Anthony Leng turned himself in on Saturday morning.

Thirty-six-year-old Sokha Khuon was found dead Jan. 7 after a neighbor reported hearing gun shots. Police say the couple's two children, ages 10 and 15, were home at the time and are now being cared for by relatives.

It's unclear whether Leng has an attorney. He is due in court Tuesday.
