The former deputy chief minister of TN further said that the current All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government in the state will end soon.
On Friday, Stalin 'Samathuva Pongal' (festival of equality) with the DMK members. On behalf of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, elaborate arrangements were made to celebrate the harvest fesival near Tambaram on the outskirts of Chennai.
Stalin, who attended the event along with his wife Durga Stalin and other senior leaders, lit fire to the Pongal pot. Many traditional events were organised as part of the celebrations.
At Velacheri in Chennai, Pongal was celebrated by the Pattali Makkal Katchi. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the event, the party's founder S Ramadoss said, "Pongal is basically a festival for the farmers and by the farmers. But they are suffering a lot now. This government has not done anything to protect their interests."
