Two injured in Manatee motorcycle crash

MANATEE COUNTY— Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the report, a Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Roger Grapes, 64, of Gasport, New York, was traveling north on Sugar Bowl Road around 10 a.m. when it failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle struck a guard rail and the driver and his passenger, Ilene Grapes, 64, were thrown off.

Both suffered serious injuries and were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
