FLAT ROCK – Seth Bogataj scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to help Flat Rock rout Airport 67-38 Friday night to run their record to 5-3.
Flat Rock scored the first five points of the game and quickly pumped its lead to 15-4.
The Rams led 21-9 before a 3-pointer by Justin Trout just before the first-quarter buzzer cut their lead to nine at the first break.
The lead kept growing through the second quarter. The home team led 39-16 at halftime.
But the Rams didn’t relax at halftime.
They came out of the locker room still blazing, scoring the first 13 points of the second half for a 52-16 lead.
The Rams were extremely balanced.
Josh Godfrey led the offense with 12 points while Bogataj and Nick Kopp scored 11 each and Justin Henderson added 10.

Ron Clayton scored 22 points as Flat Rock’s junior varsity improved to 5-3 with a 52-28 win. Cole VanWasshenova led Airport with 10 points.
BOYS
Huron 64, Grosse Ile 62
GROSSE ILE – The Chiefs (6-0) had been rolling with the same starting lineup for the past four weeks.
But faced with the task of designing a defensive game plan around Grosse Ile’s Matt Frost — who went off for 26 points against Flat Rock on Tuesday — coach Bob Blosser had a hunch.
Blosser chose to start Phil Martin, who rewarded his coach by limiting Frost to just eight points while scoring 20 points including what ended up being the game-winning 3-pointer with 40 seconds to play.
The Chiefs trailed 56-48 with about four minutes to play.
Madison won the junior varsity contest.
