Pam Zaring from the US paid $250 (£180) for a series of pictures of her family — but the end result was like something out of a horror film.
Although they may look like terrifying putty masks, these are actually the "edited" photos that Pam and her husband Dave were sent.

Each family member looks like a Nintendo Wii avatar, with eerily smoothed faces and distorted mouths, eyes and noses.
Sharing the images on her Facebook, Pam said: "Okay. This is not a joke."

She said the photographer had claimed that: "The shadows were really bad," and that "her professor never taught her to retouch photos".
But despite forking out almost £200 for the hilariously bad images, Pam could see the funny side.

The post has been shared over 250,000 times on Facebook, and has had users gobsmacked as to how such a simple job could go so badly wrong.

Pam hasn't released the details of the photographer — who appears to be called Lesa Hall — and says the £180 was money well spent for how much pleasure they'd brought her.
