UP Government asks DMs to encourage investments in state

The state government directed all district magistrates to accord top priority to the redressal of grievances of entrepreneurs and industrialists in their jurisdicton and encourage them to make further investments in the state.

Industrial Development Commissioner Anup Chand Pandey issued these directions in Lucknow on Friday, during a video conferencing meeting with district magistrates while reviewing preparations for UP Investor’s Summit.

Paney said that entrepreneurs and industrialists were the brand ambassadors of the state and disposal of their grievances should be accorded top priority. 

 The IDC said that district magistrates have also been asked to invite entrepreneurs and industrialists in their respective districts to participate in Rs UP Investors Summit’ to be held in Lucknow in February.  

He said that district officials have been asked to convene meeting of district Udyog Bandhu to settle pending issues of industries. “If these issues can not be settled at the district level then it should be referred to divisional commission or State Udyog Bandhu,” he said.

District magistrates have also been directed to identify land in their respective district for land bank and furnish details to the state government at the earliest.  Pande said that identification of land for land bank be given priority so that land to investors could be made available at the earliest.

The IDC also took stock of preparation for Rs One district, one product’ scheme to be launched in Lucknow on UP Diwas on January 24.  He asked officials to work on a war footing for the success of both events –UP Diwas and UP Investors’ Summit.  Pandey also directed for wide publicity for the two-day UP Investors Summit in Lucknow on February 21 and 22.  He said that relevant information about those interested in putting up stalls during the Summit be also furnished to state government at the earliest.
