Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka remained suspended for nearly eight hours due to dense fog today.
No inbound or outbound flights operated at the airport from 2:30am to 10:40am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog, AKM Rezaul Karim, spokesperson of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), told The Daily Star.
A total of 12 to 14 flights could not depart the airport between 7:30am and 10:40am, he said.
Spell of dense fog has been sweeping across the country causing disruptions to air and water ways for several days.
