Rail services on the Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet lines have resumed six hours after a collision between a DEMU train and a truck snapped the links.
Train services resumed around 3:10 pm after recovery operations were complete, said Comilla Rail Station Deputy Assistant Director Liakat Ali Mazumdar.
A train from Laksam took part in the recovery efforts, he said.
Rail service had been halted around 9:25pm after a Comilla-bound train from Akhaura collided with a sand truck in the Sadar Upazila’s Banashua area.
The DEMU train derailed, but there were no casualties.
