Ahead of Sankranti and Lohri festivals, students of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) celebrated Ethnic Day on their Karakambadi Road campus here on Friday.
IISER Tirupati has partnered with Central University of Punjab in Bathinda, as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat’, the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development’s (MHRD) flagship programme, and as such the festivals of these two States gained prominence.
Music concert
The students performed music concerts, stick fight demonstration and ethnic dress display, while the programme culminated with bonfire dance, symbolising Lohri.
