With retaliation in mind, a gang led by the son of M Kandan, the real estate agent killed on Tuesday by a rival group, on Thursday allegedly attacked the locked house of a man, who he believed to have engineered his father’s murder.

Police are on the lookout for Kandan’s son Ramesh, who attacked the house of one Logu alias Longna- than, a member of a rival group. Ramesh went to Logu’s house immediate- ly after performing his father’s last rites possibly to kill Logu, police said.

Logu, a history sheeter, was also involved in the murder of ‘Pallu’ Raju in the year 2010 along with Kandhan. Kandhan and Logu split in a fight that broke out in an enmity that broke over cable tele- vision business. 

Since the house was locked, they tried to break open the lock. They also attacked Venkatesan, an associate of Logu, who was present there at that time. Ven- katesan suffered injury on his hand. 

Mambalam police have registered an attempt to murder case on Ramesh.
