With all political parties gearing up for next elections, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Friday said that the question does not arise of holding the next Vidhan Sabha elections in 2018 and these will be held in 2019 as per its scheduled time.
However, on the call of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana is fully ready if the elections of Vidhan Sabha elections are held together with Lok Sabha elections next year, said the Chief Minister while talking to the mediapersons after attending ‘Meet the CM’ programme organised on the occasion of ‘National Youth Day’ at Panchkula.
When asked about proposed visit of BJP president Amit Shah in February, the Chief Minister said that Amit Shah’s upcoming visit had already been finalised during his last year visit to Rohtak. The youth of Haryana would organise rallies on motorcycles and make people aware about achievements of the Government during his visit, he added.
In reply to a question related party’s activities at grass root level, the Chief Minister said that in the democratic set up of the country, BJP is a strong party at the grass root level with 30 lakh members and 30,000 active workers in Haryana.
He said that party base would further be strengthened for ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections. The party would again come to power in 2019, he added.
On being asked about National Youth Day function, Manohar Lal said that earlier also such function was organised at Kurukshetra University and in future also, such functions would be organised.
More than 800 students of 11 colleges and educational institutions of district Panchkula participated in this function on Friday. Many meaningful questions were asked by youth in the function and good suggestions were also received from them, said he.
When asked to comment on Panchkula Medical College, the Chief Minister said that approval has been given to establish AIIMS of AYUSH in Panchkula for which 25 acres have been identified.
With a view to establish medical college in each district, approval has been given for establishing such colleges in seven districts and approval of other such seven colleges is under progress, added he.
On being asked about expensive treatment facilities in private hospitals and incidences of negligence, he said that the Central Government has been framing law regarding do’s and don’ts for private hospitals below 50 beds, and it would soon be implemented.
