The EurAsia Cup 2018 will see Europe try to defend the trophy for the first time

The Danish skipper will be hoping to win back the famous trophy at Le Golf National in Paris after a humbling defeat at Hazeltine two years ago.

The EurAsia Cup, contested between Europe and Asia, is a slightly less prestigious affair, set to take place in Malaysia this time around.

It is the third time the competition has been held with the first resulting in a tie and the second a huge 18.5-5.5 victory for Europe.

Bjorn has named a star-studded line-up for the 2018 edition - so when will they get underway in Malaysia?

EurAsia Cup 2018 format

Each side has selected 12 players. The Asian team is comprised of the leading four players on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, the leading four players from the Official World Golf Ranking and four captain’s picks.

The European team meanwhile has the top 10 eligible player from the European Tour Race to Dubai and two captain’s picks.

Friday will see six four-ball matches take place, followed by six foursome matches on Saturday.

All 12 players will play singles matches on Sunday.
