The Odisha Livelihoods Mission (OLM) in association with the Pradan organised a two-day workshop titled ‘Economic Empowerment of Women through Livelihoods’ here on Thursday.
OLM Director Dr Pranab Jyoti Nath inaugurating the meet explained successful works of the OLM and the Pradan in livelihoods sector which are directly or indirectly empowering women at the grassroots level.
Agriculture and Horticulture Director Dr Mutthu Kumar gave the idea of livelihoods project operating in different States, marketing strategy and involvement of women in agriculture.
Discussions were held on livestock and crops-based agriculture. Experts put up opinions of respective topics and decided protocol for coming days.
Among others, OLM Joint Secretary and Additional CEO Dr Nruparaj Sahoo, Rajiv Rao from APPI, Dr Karnel Das, Haribandhu Panda, Sisir Pradhan and Sarbani Ghosh were present.
