The Rangers broke two co-ed school records in relays, as senior captain Spencer Brownewell, senior Aaron Wong, sophomore Justin Papagelis, and senior Marisa Papagelis swam a 1:45.03 in the 200 medley relay. Wong, Brownewell, Justin Papagelis, and Emma Kudej broke the school record in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:36.15
Justin Papagelis also won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, Wong won the 50 free and 100 breaststroke, Brownewell won the 100 free, and junior Aidan McDonald won the 100 backstroke.
Westborough swims against Leominster on Tuesday at Fitchburg State.
Boys Swimming
FRAMINGHAM 100, XAVERIAN 81: Justin Lu won the 100-yard butterfly as Framingham (4-0) defeated Xaverian in a non-league meet.
Nick Hulsman won the 100 freestyle, Aidan O’Leary won the 500 freestyle, and Mason Matcker placed first in the 100 backstroke.
Framingham hosts Needham on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Wrestling
ASHLAND 46, ALGONQUIN 36: Senior Noah Fuller won by pin at 145 pounds to lead Ashland (3-7) to a victory over non-league foe Algonquin (7-2).
Clockers senior Jon Tesler (132) and junior Jared Swartz (126) both took their matches by pin.
Algonquin's Andrew Goddard (152) and Walker Haskins (182) both won their matches by pin.
Ashland visits Hopkinton on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Algonquin hosts West Springfield on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Gymnastics
NATICK 129.55, BRAINTREE 126.85: Carmen Canino won the all-around with a score of 32.7 as Natick (2-3, 2-2 BSC) defeated Braintree in a Bay State Conference meet.
Annie Gee won on the vault with an 8.5, the floor with a 9.05, and the beam with an 8.4 for the Redhawks.
Natick hosts Framingham and Medfield/Ashland/Dover-Sherborn in a tri-meet next Saturday at 4 p.m.
Girls Hockey
WELLESLEY 3, PEABODY/LYNNFIELD 0: Goalie Libby Schulz made 10 saves for her fifth shutout of the season and Jenna Harrison had two assists as Wellesley (7-2-1) blanked visiting Peabody/Lynnfield in a non-league game at the McVan/O'Keefe Memorial Rink in Peabody.
Mackenzie O’Neil scored a goal to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead with 12 seconds left in the first period on a power play. Elise Coakley scored a power-play goal in the second period to make it 2-0. Olivia Vernon scored later in the period to push Wellesley’s lead to 3-0 after two.
Wellesley hosts Longmeadow at Babson College in a non-league game on Monday at 4 p.m.
Boys Hockey
ASSABET-MAYNARD 2, ST. BERNARD’S 2: Andrew Chaves scored twice, including once on a power play with 16 seconds remaining, to help Assabet-Maynard (0-7-1) earn a tie with St. Bernard’s in a non-league game.
Sean Magarain had two assists and Robby Starky had 16 saves.
“We earned our first points today, and it’s a good feeling for us and all these kids. They are finally being rewarded for their hard work,” Assabet-Maynard coach Steven Motuzas said. “We’re getting better every game and every practice and we are learning and getting better with our own system.”
Assabet-Maynard hosts Northbridge on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
