A Florida woman celebrated her 112th birthday on Jan. 11. 

Isabel Castano, who is originally from Colombia, was born on January 11, 1906, AP reported. In Colombia, Castano founded a factory that made medicinal ointments. She married at 41 and had one son, Danilo Castano, according to WPLG-TV.

After her husband was kidnapped and disappeared, Castano and her son moved to the U.S. when he was a young boy. 

"I'm very proud of her and very proud of this country that has given us all that we have right now," Danilo Lugo Castano told WPLG-TV. "She's feeling very well. She's feeling happy, and she is very conscious. It is incredible at her age that her mind is conscious." 

While she currently calls Miami Beach home, Castano's lived in Washington, New Jersey, and New York. 

Castano celebrated her birthday Thursday with her son and caregivers at the Ponce Plaza Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, the news station reported.
