Michigan State football will host a pair of senior year recruits on official visits this weekend. Attrition has opened up a couple of scholarship spots for MSU. The staff would like to address the defensive line and wide receiver positions in the class of 2018.
Bolingbrook (Ill.) DT Dashaun Mallory
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Mallory was offered by MSU in June following a strong camp performance. He was the top performing defensive tackle at the camp which featured several Division I-level commitments. He is a three-star recruit and the No. 12 prospect overall in Illinois according to Rivals.

Mallory has had to clear up some issues with the NCAA clearinghouse. The fact that he has scheduled his official visit indicates he has cleared that hurdle. Mallory told SpartanMag.com that he plans on leaving East Lansing a member of the class of 2018.
Las Vegas Bishop Gorman WR Jalen Nailor
The 6-0, 175-pound Nailor was committed to Arizona State University, but he re-opened his recruitment after the Sun Devils made a coaching change. He traveled with his high school teammate, MSU signee and Under Armour All-American Jacob Isaia, to see the Spartans play Washington State in the Holiday Bowl.
With the departure of Hunter Rison, Nailor would be a good fit for the class of 2018. In addition to MSU, Nailor also has offers from Washington State, Wisconsin, Utah, Arizona and Colorado. Rivals.com ranks him as a three-star recruit and the No. 7 prospect in Nevada.
Class of 2019 targets on campus
The Spartans will also be hosting an impressive group of in-state prospect for the class of 2019 this weekend, including four-star commitments Oak Park quarterback Dwan Mathis, Belleville's Darian Barnett and Walled Lake Western offensive tackle Spencer Brown. Mathis and Barnett are Rivals.com top 100 recruits and Brown is a top 250 prospect.
They will be joined by several other in-state recruits: Belleville offensive tackle Devonte Dobbs (a Rivals top 100 prospect); Detroit Cass Tech four-star running back Jaren Mangham; West Bloomfield three-star linebacker Lance Dixon; Flint Carman-Ainsworth three-star defensive end Michael Fletcher and Zeeland East defensive lineman Adam Berghorst. All have been offered a scholarship by MSU.
