Sox ink deals with 9 players, incuding Pomeranz, Bogaerts

The Red Sox on Friday agreed to terms with nine players on one-year contracts for the 2018 season, avoiding salary arbitration, including starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz, shortstop Xander Bogaerts and outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.

Outfielder Mookie Betts remains the only unsigned Red Sox player eligible for salary arbitration.

 

President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski and Senior Vice President/Assistant General Manager Brian O’Halloran made the announcement.
