Police seek Chicago Heights man in Loves Park home invasion

LOVES PARK — Loves Park police are searching for a south suburban man wanted in connection with a home invasion in the city shortly before Thanksgiving.

James E. Turner, 29, of Chicago Heights, is accused of entering the home on Nov. 21, police said in a news release.

Once inside the house, in the 700 block of Long Island Circle, he allegedly brandished a firearm, demanded money from those inside and had a confrontation with one person. Turner left without stealing anything, police said.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Turner, and Boone County prosecutors authorized a charge of home invasion, according to police.

Anyone with information about where Turner can be found should call the Loves Park Police Department at 815-654-5015 or Rockford Area Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.
