Ntshangase to bring 'champagne passes' to Chiefs

2018-01-12 12:30

Cape Town - New Kaizer Chiefs signing Siphelele Ntshangase is optimistic that he can produce the passes to make his team more lethal in attack.

The 24-year-old Ntshangase arrived at Chiefs from Baroka FC, having previously played for Black Leopards in the National First Division.

He says it was always his dream to don the Amakhosi colours and hopes to now make a positive impact on the park for the Glamour Boys.

"I made it clear as far back as 2015 that I wanted to play for Chiefs," he told The Star

"I've been given clear instructions by the coach about my role.

"I honestly think what has been missing in the last two seasons is the killer pass, the champagne pass."

The midfield creator, who could potentially make his debut when Chiefs host Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership clash on Saturday night, says he's prepared to buckle down and work hard in order to make his stay a success.

"I have never been in this kind of situation, where I have so much competition.

"I now have to work extremely hard and that is what any player wants in their career.

"I am happy here and my family is happy. But it's time to work now that the dream has finally become a reality.

"There are a lot of these types of challenges in life," he continued. "I am hoping that I can push myself to reach those heights again. This is a different challenge, but I am ready."

Kick-off is at 20:15.
