GREATER CINCINNATI ATHLETIC POSTPONEMENTS/RESCHEDULES
With the impending predicted snowfall, many Tri-State athletic contests have been postponed and/or rescheduled from tonight. The following is an active list.
- A marquees game in the GCL-South is off for tonight as Moeller and St. Xavier will reconvene tomorrow night at Moeller.
- Princeton's home basketball game with Sycamore is off with a make-up date to be determined.
- Hughes and Shroder's boys basketball game has been moved to Saturday night, JV and varsity only at 6/7:30 p.m.
- The Lakota West/Oak Hills boys game is Saturday at Lakota West 4:30/6/7:30.
- Kings and Walnut Hills boys will now play Saturday 4:30/6/7:30 at Kings.
- St. Bernard's boys games at Miami Valley Christian Academy Friday have been postponed until Feb. 3.
- Western Brown's boys and girls basketball games at Hillsboro are on for Saturday.
- Clermont Northeastern at Georgetown is rescheduled to Jan. 24.
- Batavia's home game with Clinton-Massie is postponed until Feb. 3.
- Bethel-Tate's games with Fayetteville are off with no announcement on rescheduling.
- Loveland's game with West Clermont is postponed until Feb. 7 at Loveland. All evening practices, activities and games canceled.
- Williamsburg at Blanchester is postponed. All Williamsburg games and practices canceled tonight and Middle School wrestling tournament tomorrow is canceled.
- Goshen's home game with Wilmington is rescheduled for Feb. 3.
- The Anderson/Turpin basketball game at Anderson is postponed as are all post-school activities and practices in Forest Hills today and tomorrow.
- The McNicholas boys basketball game at Purcell Marian has been rescheduled to Feb. 3.
- Wyoming's girls basketball game with Indian Hill will be played at 3/4:30 at Wyoming. THe Wyoming boys game at Clark Montessori is on Saturday 6/7:30.
- From Western Brown: The Hammer and Anvil Wrestling Invitational is on Saturday. Weigh-ins pushed back to 10 a.m. with competition at 11.
- The Harrison Junior School Wrestling Tournament is canceled for the weekend
- The Seven Hills bowling tri-match between the Stingers. Deer Park and Wyoming has been moved to Feb. 9.
- The Charlie Moore Wrestling Tournament at Lockland is postponed this evening and will start at noon tomorrow.
- La Salle bowling is canceled today vs. Colerain and rescheduled to Feb. 9. The Lancer Baker Bash is on as scheduled tomorrow. La Salle's basketball tip vs. St. Mary's (New York) is on at 4:30. Games at Alter tomorrow are 4:30/6/7:30. The La Salle hockey game at Mason is off. Swimming will have a one-hour delay tomorrow at Miami University (9:20).
- Indian Hill games and practices canceled Friday. Indian Hill's boys basketball game against Wyoming is rescheduled for Jan. 23.
- Deer Park activities are off for Friday. Deer Park girls basketball at Mariemont Saturday is 1:30/3/
- All Friday athletic events at West Clermont are off.
- The Western Hills/Taft boys basketball game is rescheduled to tomorrow at Taft 3:30/5/6:30.
- Madeira's boys basketball games at Taylor have been postponed and rescheduled for Saturday Feb. 10. The Middle School Wrestling Invitational at CCD is canceled.
- Reading boys basketball at Finneytown is canceled and rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Sports Plus. The Feb. 16 games will now be at Finneytown.
- Saturday's Mariemont girls basketball games have been pushed back to 1:30/3. Mariemont boys basketball vs. Deer Park will be played Tuesday, Jan. 23.
- Cincinnati Country Day games vs. North College Hill have been canceled.
- Badin boys basketball vs. Roger Bacon is off and rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16.
- The Seven Hills/Summit Country Day basketball game is moved to Saturday, Feb. 3 at Summit.
- All Cincinnati Public Schools Activities are canceled this evening.
- Middletown vs. Hamilton boys basketball is postponed Friday.
- Lakota East boys hoops vs. Fairfield is off and rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Fairfield 4:30/6/7:30.
- The New Richmond boys game with Clinton-Massie Saturday is on as scheduled.
NORTHERN KENTUCKY ATHLETIC POSTPONEMENTS/RESCHEDULES
- The most-anticipated event of the night, the Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Classic at BB&T Arena, has been postponed. It was set to be a tripleheader of boys basketball teams, with the nightcap a clash of Covington Catholic and Cooper, last year’s Ninth Region finalists and currently two top-five teams in the Associated Press state poll. The other games were Newport Central Catholic vs. Holmes and Scott vs. Simon Kenton. The schools and the arena are working to reschedule the event.
- The All “A” regional tournaments in the area are seeing changes. Walton-Verona hosts the 8th Region Girls tourney. The semifinals been moved to Sunday at 2 p.m (W-V vs. Owen County) and 3:30 (Williamstown vs. Carroll County). A new tipoff time for the final has not been determined pending the 8th Region boys final in Owen County Saturday night.
- The 9th Region girls semifinals were postponed from tonight to Saturday evening at Dayton. Newport and Holy Cross will play at 5 p.m., followed by Dayton and St. Henry at 7. The tipoff for the final has not been determined.
- The naming of the Dayton High School gym floor after Coach Stan Steidel will occur as scheduled at 6:30 Saturday before the second game. A reception for him will begin at 5:30 in the Dayton library, and at halftime of the second game there will be further acknowledgments for him.
- The 10th Region girls All "A" championship game featuring Bishop Brossart at Nicholas County is moved to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17.
- The Scott Diving Classic, originally set for Saturday, is postponed to Jan. 19 at Scott High School. The NKAC diving meet is moved to Jan. 27.
- The NKAC archery tournament set to take place in Florence this weekend has been canceled.
- All Kenton County activities are canceled for Friday and Saturday.
- All Boone County school activities are canceled for Friday.
- Confirmed boys hoops cancellations: Silver Grove at Bellevue; Boone County at St. Henry, Newport at Holy Cross.
- Scott at Campbell County girls basketball is postponed, no makeup announced.
- Boone County at Cooper girls basketball for Friday night is postponed and rescheduled for Jan. 30.
- Beechwood at Lloyd boys basketball is postponed Friday and rescheduled to 3;30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 as part of a girls/boys doubleheader with same two schools. The girls game will tip off first at Lloyd.
- Turfway Park in Florence will be open for simulcast wagering, but no live racing Friday because of incoming winter weather. Turfway will still host simulcast wagering and the facility will remain open until 6 p.m., according to a press release. The cancellation also includes the track's "Dollar Friday Deals" and the concert by Doghouse.
