50 Bangladeshis held in Malaysia

DHAKA: Malaysian immigration department detained 50 Bangladeshi nationals claiming them as illegal immigrants.

They also tracked down a human trafficking ring led by a Bangladeshi national known as “Abang Bangla”. 

The 50 Bangladeshi nationals were detained in a drive conducted in a house in Shah Alam area, said the senior officials of Malaysian immigration department. 
    
Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali said most of the detainees are blacklisted by the department. They have entered Malaysia illegally.
