The Latest on a possible explosive device at a Scottsdale business (all times local):

Authorities say an employee at an auto body repair shop in a Phoenix suburb has been arrested after an explosive device was found at his workstation.

Scottsdale police say the Arizona Department of Public Safety removed the small 4-inch device from a Service King Collision Repair Center in north Scottsdale on Friday. There were no injuries and the business reopened before noon.

Authorities identified the worker as 31-year Michael Mclain. He was arrested as he arrived for work.

He's facing drug charges as well as a count of possession/manufacturing of a prohibited weapon. It wasn't immediately clear if Mclain had an attorney.

Authorities say the worker built the device but told detectives he did not have plans to harm anyone with it.

The investigation is ongoing.

Authorities say a male suspect is in custody in connection with what's been called a possible explosive device at an auto body repair shop in a Phoenix suburb.

Police also have release no additional information about the suspect, circumstances of the device's discovery or a possible motive.

There's been no report of any explosion or injury and police say the business has reopened.

Richardson, Texas-based Service King Collision Repair Centers says all of its employees are safe and accounted for and that it can't comment further.

Scottsdale police have said the state Department of Public Safety bomb squad was removing a possible explosive device from the Service King location.

No additional information was released and it's not known whether the object actually was an explosive device. There's no report of any explosion or injury.

Scottsdale police say authorities are checking on a possible explosive device at an auto body collision repair business.

Police say the state Department of Public Safety bomb squad is removing the device from Service King Collision Repair at 8180 East Raintree Drive in north Scottsdale.

There is no export of an explosion or injury and no additional information was released about the incident late Friday morning.
