Peace, unity important in moulding future leaders: Rosnah
PAPAR: Peace and strong unity among the people are important to ensure continuity of all the government's initiatives in giving the best education to the young generation as future leaders of the country, said Deputy Works Minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin.
Rosnah said with these two elements, the process of shaping and preparing the young generation including students to lead the country in future could go on smoothly without interruptions.
"I believe in the saying that 'to look into the future, we need to look at the current generation'," she told reporters after handing out school items to 60 students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanaki, here, today.
Rosnah, who is also Papar MP and an Umno Supreme Council member, said the success of moulding today's young generation would ensure the country would not be short of credible leaders and who could bring continuous development and success.
She said the concept of development championed by the Barisan Nasional government for the people including students was not selective in form but all-encompassing in terms of race, religion, sex and age.
She added that the concept was to ensure that no children would be deprived of education and appropriate aid from the government. — Bernama
