The 42-year-old actress posed confidently on the red carpet wearing the figure-hugging bardot ensemble which she paired with silver velvet heels and elegant earrings.

The Hollywood star wore her brunette hair down with some pinned back, giving onlookers a full view of her multiple back tattoos.

The natural beauty kept her base make-up minimal but stood out with her dark red lipstick which she matched with her nail polish.

The Salt actress seemed in high spirits at the event, who she attended with Activist Loung Ung, despite her film First They Killed My Father missing out on the award for Best Foreign Language film, which lost to In The Fade.  

Angelina was seen mingling with fellow actors, sharing a hug with Best Young Performer winner Brooklyn Prince, seven, and later consuming snacks at her table.

The Award-winning film veteran famously split from Brad Pitt, 54, in 2016.

It is believed that Angelina hasn’t dated anyone since the high-profile break up, although she was recently linked to Cambodian filmmaker and lyricist PraCh Ly, a claim her people have strongly denied.

A source told People: “She isn't dating anyone and won't be for a very long time. She is focused on her children and their needs.”

Elsewhere at the event, held at Santa Monica, California, first-time host Olivia Munn, 37, stunned in a scarlet floor-length gown which featured an array of jewels.

Ahead of the show, Olivia admitted that she wouldn’t shy away from bringing up the recent Hollywood sexual harassment scandal at the event, after speaking out publicly about her personal experiences.

She told the Daily Mail: “Hosting an awards show pales in comparison to the legal and illegal threats that I've had to (face) and that so many other women who have spoken out have had to go through.

“It's not as easy to name names as people think. And when you go out publicly and do that, as we know with one of Brett Ratner's accusers, there's defamation lawsuits that come forward.

“Naming names and calling out people - it's not an easy thing to do, and it's not something people can do flippantly, so I think the real hard part during this time is definitely not hosting an awards show. Although it is work, and you're wanting to put on a good show and all that, but I've been through scarier things.”

During the show, the controversial star took a swipe at Mark Wahlberg's salary after he was reported to have earned more than one million pounds to reshoot scenes for All the Money in the World.

She said: “I want to say thank you to the producers for paying Niecy (Nash) and I the same amount of money and Mark Wahlberg a million dollars.”

The Shape of Water led the wins at the star-studded event with an impressive four awards.

The 2017 thriller film, written and directed by Guillermo del Toro won the gongs for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Score and Best Production Design.
