Former President talks about accusations level against him

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that there would be no point to him issuing a statement relating to the Central Bank bond scam and that the Prime Minister only did so, as he has been accused of being involved in the scam.

During an exclusive interview with our news team, the former President stated that allegations made against him by the Prime Minister cannot be proven.

He said that anybody can investigate the activities of the Central Bank during his era. He added that he always trusted his officials.
