“Tradition and Irreverence: Exploring the American Diaspora,” the current exhibit at ArtSpace, examines the expanse of American Culture through both symbols and written language.
The exhibit runs through Feb. 23 at ArtSpace Maynard, 63 Summer St.
By focusing on graffiti and the urban landscape, each piece on display searches for continuity between tradition and the prevailing cultural irreverences.
Opening reception is 5-7 p.m. Jan. 27. “Mini” ArtSpace Artists’ Open Studios will take place 4-6 p.m. Jan. 27.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
