A Class II student of Lower Primary (LP) School, Choottumali, near Thalavady, died of injuries after a wall of the school toilet collapsed on him on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Sebastian, 7, son of Benson and Annsamma of Munduchirayil house, Anaprambal South, Thalavady.
According to authorities, the accident occurred during the morning interval when the boy went to the toilet.
The wall had suddenly toppled and caught him under.
He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Sources said the structure was in a dilapidated condition.
The Edathua police have registered a case and a have launched an investigation.
