FARIDPUR: Two people were killed and two others injured as a microbus overturned on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Surjanagar area of Faridpur on Friday morning (January 12).
The deceased were identified as microbus driver Mosharraf Hossain, 40 and a musician Wahid Sujat, 35. The injured are Nimai and Dipok. They are band members of a famous musician and singer Nakul Kumar Biswas.
Police said the musicians were returning to Dhaka after concluding a program in India. Their microbus capsized in Bhanga area as the driver lost control over its steering leaving the duo dead on the spot. The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.
Bhanga highway police station Sub-inspector (SI) Mostafa told Banglanews that the bodies were recovered to Faridpur Medical College Hospital morgue.
