Tickets to Michelle Obama's talk at Bankers Life still available, but they're pricey

Update: 12:05 p.m.: You can still snag a ticket to see Michelle Obama, but it will cost you. As of noon, only $250 and $500 tickets were available, said a spokeswoman from the Women's Fund of Central Indiana. Jennifer Pope Baker, executive director, said the response to Obama's appearance "has been truly unbelievable." An earlier report provided by a representative from Pacers Sports & Entertainment that tickets were sold out was incorrect.

Update 11:40 a.m.: The balcony seats are sold out, but Bill Benner, senior vice president for Pacers Sports & Entertainment, reports now that some tickets at higher price points are still available. However, the Ticketmaster website has been overwhelmed, according to a spokeswomen from the Women's Fund, so it is hard to know which ticket prices are still accessible. In other words, keep trying.

Update 11 a.m.: The Michelle Obama event at Bankers Life Fieldhouse is sold out, including balcony seats, confirmed Bill Benner, senior vice president for Pacers Sports & Entertainment.

Update 10:30 a.m.: There are reports of people having trouble getting tickets through the Ticketmaster website. Tickets have appeared to have sold out within 30 minutes. We will update this story when we know more.

If you want tickets to see former first lady Michelle Obama in Indianapolis next month, be ready to buy at 10 a.m. Friday.

Tickets, priced at $25, $50, $100, $250 and $500, will be available beginning Friday morning at Ticketmaster.com and at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse box office, 125 S. Pennsylvania St.

Women's Fund of Central Indiana is hosting "A Moderated Conversation with Former First Lady Michelle Obama" at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.

Tamara Winfrey-Harris of the Women's Fund said 6,000 tickets will be available in the "lower bowl" of Bankers Life, but those seats are expected to move quickly. If they sell out, the upper arena will be opened for ticket sales. Bankers Life capacity is listed at 20,000.

"We want as many people to experience this as possible," Winfrey-Harris said.
