Doctors threaten to strike over SAITM issue

The Government Medical Officers' Association says that if the government fails to provide a permanent solution for the SAITM issue, they will launch an island-wide strike.

Addressing a media conference in Colombo yesterday (Jan.11), the GMOA Secretary, Dr. Haritha Aluthge said that if the government failed to give an acceptable response before 15th of this month, the association would launch the strike.
