'Manikarnika' will show the making of a hero
Recently, Kangana's look from the film 'Manikarnika' was leaked online and the netizens and media went berserk.
This is the first time Kangana will play a historical character and known to portray the most complex of emotions with finesse, she will bring on screen the ordinary, vulnerable and naive side of Rani Laxmibai.
She looked every inch a warrior queen in her all white regal attire and traditional jewellery.

In an interview last year, she mentioned that when the makers of the film came up with the idea of paying tribute to Rani Laxmibai through a movie as a creative team they felt that the fierce and warrior side of Rani Laxmibai have been explored number of times but not the ordinary one.
She went on to add that this is more of a father-daughter story. The film will celebrate the father, Moropant, who made a shy little reluctant girl Manikarnika (lovingly called Manu), the greatest warrior and their relationship, which was Rani Laxmibai's greatest strength.
It will mostly tell how the hero we all known, was made. Therefore, Kangana mentioned that she needed to identify with her as a woman and not just a warrior.
