Willowick police help man out of bathroom window in mobile home fire

No one was injured in a fire Jan. 12 at Johnson’s Trailer Park, 30335 Euclid Ave. in Willowick.

According to the Willowick Fire Department, the fire at a mobile home occurred about 4:30 a.m. The fire was called by a resident, as well as from Wickliffe police who spotted the fire from Euclid Avenue.

The resident was assisted out of the home through a bathroom window by Willowick police. He was given first aid at the scene but did not need to be transported to a hospital, according to the fire department.

The fire was under control in about 10 minutes, according to the fire department. Also assisting at the scene were Eastlake, Willoughby and Wickliffe fire departments.

The fire is believed to have started in an attached carport, but the cause is undetermined at this time.
