Arsenal WILL sell Man Utd and Man City target Alexis Sanchez if two demands met

ARSENAL will sanction the sale of Alexis Sanchez in January providing their valuation is met and they find a suitable replacement, according to reports.

Arsenal will sell Alexis Sanchez in January if they can find a replacement

Alexis Sanchez has been tipped to leave Arsenal in January with interest being shown from both Manchester clubs.

Manchester United are said to have approached the Gunners with a £25million offer, while Manchester City have put up around £20m.

Arsene Wenger has remained adamant the Chile international will not be sold, despite the 29-year-old being out of contract in the summer.

But BBC Sport claim the Gunners are in fact resigned to losing Sanchez and will sell providing two key things happen.

Arsene Wenger has previously claimed there have been no bids for Alexis Sanchez

Firstly, any club coming in for Sanchez must get closer to their £35m valuation but the  Gunners are said to be open to negotiation.

And secondly, the north London club must have already found a suitable replacement before allowing the South American to depart.

The report says Arsene Wenger is viewing Brazilian youngster Malcom at Bordeaux to fill the void.

He is the Frenchman’s first choice replacement but it is unclear if a deal is anywhere near close to being agreed for the 20-year-old.

Speaking about Sanchez’s future this week, Wenger claimed there has been no interest in the Chilean from other clubs.

“I expect nothing,” he said.

“I am focused on tomorrow’s game [Chelsea Carabao Cup].

“When solicitations happen, you respond to it. At the moment, it’s very quiet.”
