Celebrated in Tamil Nadu, Pongal is a four-day harvest festival. It is held in Thai month of the Tamil calendar and it is the season when farmers harvest rice, turmeric, sugar cane and different types of cereals. During the four days of festivities, people discard old items in their house and use it for a bonfire. They paint the horns of buffaloes and oxen, draw beautiful kolam or rangoli in front of their house using rice flour, sing folk songs, meet friends and relatives, cook delicious food and offer prayers to Sun God. Start by filling your eyebrows and shaping it. Then prime your face with Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Primer. Use a liquid mouse for the foundation. Apply it on your face using a beauty blender.
Apply concealer under your eyes, cheeks, forehead and other darker areas of your face. Use a beauty blender to blend it for a smooth finish. Immediately set it with a loose powder. Use a bronzer on your cheeks to sculpt it. Then, apply some blush on the apples of your cheeks. After you apply the blush, apply highlighter just above the blush to make your face look glowing. Apply the highlighter on the tip of your nose and on your cupid’s bow.
Now, let’s focus on the eyes. Prime your eyes and set the primer using a translucent powder. Apply golden-bronze color eyeshadow on your entire upper lids. Use a dark brown shade and apply it on the outer corners of your eyes and the crease. Use the same brown color on your lower lash line to smoke it out.
Apply highlighter below the arch of your eyebrows and inner corners of your eyes. Use an eye pencil or a kajal to line your water line. Draw a small wing using the same eye pencil or the kajal. Curl your lashes and apply mascara on upper and lower lashes. You can also apply fake lashes.
Complete your look with a bright lipstick and apply gloss on top of it.
