Already, the TN government declared on Friday as a holiday for all the schools and colleges in view of the Pongal festival. Now with the latest movie, students and workers would get five days leave at a stretch.
An official release said all colleges affiliated to universities which are functioning under the state higher education department would also remain closed on January 12.
Following this, the Anna University has postponed the examination scheduled to begin on January 12. The examination will now begin from January 18, as per a circular.
