Telenor Bulgaria reduces early termination fees

Telenor Bulgaria reduced the fees it charges residential customers in case of termination of mobile and fixed service contracts before their expiry. As of 12 January, Telenor customers who close their contracts before their terms will have to pay no more than three standard monthly fees, depending on their subscription plan, regardless of the length of their contracts, 12 or 24 months. Previously, customers had to pay all outstanding monthly fees until the end of the contract term.

In cases when the customers used plans with discounts on devices or monthly fees, they will also have to pay a portion of the used discount, corresponding to the remaining months until the end of the current contract.

These changes in the contract termination fees are valid for all new residential customers and for existing clients with unexpired contracts, as of 12 January.

In order to offer better transparency, all future service contracts with Telenor will clearly list all parameters that are being taken into account in calculation of early contract termination fees, valid at the respective date of contract signing.

The new early contract termination rules will not apply to the Junior and Lyubimets subscription plans for the cases when a specific fixed termination fee is specified in contracts.
