‘Odisha StartUp Summit’ begins

A convention for entrepreneurs, “Odisha Start Up Summit 2018” kick-started in the ITER campus, SOA University, here on Thursday.

Industries Department Principal Secretary Sanjeev Chopra inaugurated the three-day summit.

“I am very happy the way Odisha Start Up Summit is being organized. Now it’s time for the youth to do business ventures of their own rather searching for jobs. They should come out to create new job opportunities,” said Chopra.

He said the State Government has taken the initiative of developing a single window system for all industries including the start ups with the portal Go Swift. All entrepreneurs should go through the site and lookout for their requirements.

YI, Bhubaneswar Chapter Chairman Matrudutta Mishra said that the summit is a big platform for the budding entrepreneurs. The intending youths should utilise facilities through many schemes and initiatives of the Central and State Governments.

Summit convenor Sakyasingha Mohapatra a series of inspiring sessions would be held and attended by successful startup entrepreneurs with national repute.

Total Start enterprise chairman Dr Suryanil Ghosh said failure is the key to success. So the entrepreneurs shouldn’t deviate from their aim and work to achieve it.

“We need to build entrepreneurs in Odisha for a strong economy,” said co-convenor Abanis Nayak.
