The Utkal Sammilani on Wednesday condemned the illegal entry of Andhra Pradesh leaders and officials into Kotia gram panchayat under Pottangi block in Koraput district and distribution of blankets and pensions among villagers by them. Sammilani’s Mancheswar Industrial Estate Branch president Dillip Dashsharma said the Andhra Pradesh Government had committed such an offence by constructing roads and Anganwadi Centres and providing electricity connection in the area in 2013. The Sammilani along with Koraput district administration officials, elected leaders and local people had protested it then, said Dashsharma.
He urged the district administration and local leaders to remain alert in the area.
The Sammilani demanded the State Government open a special cell in the Revenue Department to solve the border conflict and to immediately implement its 12 proposals submitted for Kotia GP five years back.
