A boy once seeks the advice of his guru about going to a certain country to earn his living. The guru tells him not to go there by saying one line about that country "Andheri nagri Chaupat raja; takeh ser bhaji, takeh ser khaja". The citizens lack intelligence and it is an undesirable place to live. The young and unwise boy goes anyway.Everything is so cheap at the place. The boy enjoys dates and veggies at the country. Then some strange series of situations begins to happen and somehow that boy is accused to be hanged.
As soon as the boy’s guru comes to know about it, the guru quickly arrives early morning at the public square and creates uproar by insisting that he should be hanged instead of the boy. The guru confessed that on this day of the new moon, anyone who will be hanged goes straight to heaven.
The judge decides that ‘he’ should hang himself. In the meantime the news reaches the king. He repairs the scene and uses his monkey to be hanged. The relieved guru and disciple promptly cross the borders of the strange kingdom, vowing never to return again.
The play was beautifully performed and was much enjoyed by the audience. The comic scenes and the perfect music composition made the play worthwhile watching.
