Kerala is one of the States with the best Plan formulation and execution systems right from the local body-level, Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D.V. Sadananda Gowda has said.
Laying the foundation stone for the proposed State Academy on Statistical Administration at Kaimanam on Thursday, he said the Centre would extend its fullest cooperation to the State in taking forward its development agenda.
Finance Minister Thomas Isaac, who chaired the function, said the government would strengthen the Statistics Department as accurate statistics was essential for better Plan formulation and execution.
After resolving all legal issues, the State government had now found 40 cents of land for the proposed academy at Vishnu Nagar, Kaimanam.
