‘Priority to employment in rural areas’

Panchayat Raj and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday said villages in Andhra Pradesh were witnessing rapid development under the rule of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Mr. Lokesh said the Chief Minister has been striving hard to enhance the livelihood of rural people.

Addressing the ‘Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru’ programme at Penugonda in the district, Mr. Lokesh said the Chief Minister was giving a lot of priority to villages and his main focus on enhancing rural resources for employment generation.

Referring to the Chief Minister’s love for Anantapur district, Mr. Lokesh said that Nara Chandrababu Naidu was taking a special care in implementation of development activities being taken up in the district and was adopting various strategies to strengthen villages financially in the days to come.

Later, the Panchayat Raj Minister inaugurated a bridge constructed a cost of ₹ 6.02 crore, which is connected between Penugonda and Govipeta and a drinking water purification plant constructed at a cost of ₹ 7.4 lakh at Gonipet village.

Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Housing Minister Kalva Srinivasulu, Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha, MLAs B K Partha Saradhi and Eeranna, ZP Chairman Poola Nagaraju, Collector Veera Pandian and others were present.

CM visit today

The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will be visiting the district on Thursday to take part in various development activities.
