Market Now: Phoenix Mills, Delta Corp boost Nifty Realty index

NEW DELHI: Realty stocks Phoenix Mills (up 5 per cent), Delta Corp (up 4.81 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 4.13 per cent) surged up to 5 per cent in Thursday's trade.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.85 per cent up at 372 around 12:45 pm (IST).
Meanwhile, the Nifty Realty index hit a fresh 52-week high of 372.55 in Thursday's trade.
Shares of Godrej Properties (up 2.75 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 2.35 per cent), Housing Development & Infrastructure (HDIL) (up 1.47 per cent), DLF (up 1.26 per cent) and Sobha (up 0.74 per cent) were also trading with gains in the index.
Oberoi Realty (down 0.13 per cent) was the only stocks in the realty index that was in the red around that time.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 24 points up at 10,656, while the BSE Sensex was 92 points up at 34,525.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Reliance Communications, IDFC Bank, GMR Infrastructure, Uttam Value Steels, Aban Offshore, Suzlon Energy and Unitech were among the most traded stocks.
