Lamborghini Urus Launched In India For Rs 3 Crore; To Compete With The Likes Of Bentley, Porsche
Urus is different from other Lamborghinis in the sense that it does not use the brand’s usual V10 or V12 engines

Italian luxury automaker Lamborghini has launched its much awaited SUV Urus in India on Thursday (11 January) at a price of Rs 3 crore. Lamborghini Urus is the brand’s second SUV after the LM002, which was produced from 1986-1993.
Urus, which derives its name from the ancestor of modern domestic cattle, is a 5-door SUV that is based on Volkswagen's MLBevo platform that styles the Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, and Volkswagen Touareg.
The Lamborghini Urus features 4L twin-turbo V8 engine that churns out 478kW of maximum power at 6,000rpm and peak torque of 850Nm at 2,250-4,500rpm. It is different from other Lamborghinis in the sense that it does not use the brand’s usual V10 or V12 engines.
The vehicle has a maximum speed of 305km/hr, which makes it the world’s fastest production SUV, and can accelerate from 0-100km/hr in 3.6 seconds.
The automaker has went for an extensive usage of carbon fiber reinforced polymer to make Urus weigh much lighter than its competitors at 2,200kg.
Lamborghini Urus weighs 5,112mm X 2,016mm X 1,638mm, with a wheelbase of 3,003mm.
