KATHUA: Police on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 120 pouches of liquor from his possession.
As per the detail, a party of Police Station Billawar led by Inspector Amit Sangra SHO under the direct supervision of Dy.SP Shivender Singh SDPO Billawar, during patrolling duty near Mureen Morh on Karli Billawar Road intercepted one person driving Maruti Eeco. Police apprehended the person and during frisking recovered 120 pouches of liquor from his possession.
The accused identified as Surinder Singh son of Tarse resident of Baggan Billawar Kathua was arrested and a case vide FIR No.04/2018 under section 48 A Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Billawar.
