North Korea THREAT: Our PATIENCE is OVER! - US vice-president issues STERN warning to Kim
NORTH KOREA has been issued a firm warning by US Vice-President Mike Pence, who said the era of “strategic patience” from the United States is over.
North Korea will continue to have “maximum pressure” applied until Kim Jong-un abandons his nuclear programme, Mr Pence warned.
Speaking to Fox News, he said: “The era of strategic patience is over.
“For literally two decades one administration after the other has exercised a level of patience and negotiation that has resulted in the dictatorship in North Korea developing ballistic missiles that may well threaten the United States as we speak.
“That’s unacceptable.”

Mr Pence added that he will be sending a message to Kim Jong-un that the US stands by South Korea when he accompanies US athletes to the winter Olympics next month.
He said: “President Trump has brought unprecedented diplomatic pressure to bare on the regime in Pyongyang. We will continue to do that.
“Part of my message in going is to stand with the American athletes and show we’re cheering them on and wishing them well.
“But the underlying message is - the President is sending us there to make it clear that we stand with South Korea, we stand with our allies in the region.
“We will continue to bring maximum economic and diplomatic pressure to bear until North Korea abandons its nuclear and ballistic missile programmes that threaten the United Stated of America.”
North Korea continues to incite fears of World War 3 among the international community despite signs of positive development during diplomatic talks with Seoul.
President Trump has been trying to ramp up pressure on the rogue state to put a stop to Kim Jong-un’s nuclear programme.
The President has said that he is open to holding talks between the US and North Korea at the “appropriate time” and under the right “circumstances”.
