Soybean futures extend weakness

Marketmen said trimming of holdings by speculators, tracking a weakening global trend, kept prices down for the second straight day. At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, for delivery in February slipped Rs 14, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 3,274 per with an open interest of 2,80,760 lots. Also, contracts for delivery in 9, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 3,237 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 44,870 lots.
