WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Prosecutors say two people used a dating app to lure a Rhode Island man to a Massachusetts motel in order to rob him.

The Telegram & Gazette reports both 49-year-old Daniel O'Malley, of Worcester, and 53-year-old Kara Kelleher-Mahunik, of Holden, pleaded not guilty Wednesday.

Court documents show Stephen Morreau, of Rhode Island, arranged to meet Kelleher-Mahunik at the motel in September. Morreau told investigators another man knocked on his motel room door, showed a badge and identified himself as an officer.

Police say O'Malley, armed with a handgun, demanded Morreau's wallet. The two engaged in a scuffle before O'Malley fled with the victim's wallet.
