Movi smartphone housing an inbuilt projector has been launched at CES 2018; available at a price tag of $599

A smartphone called as 'Movi' phone launched at CES 2018 comes with an inbuilt projector that can project videos and images to a 100-inch throw. The Android 7.0 Nougat based smartphone comes unlocked and can be bought for $599 in US.

This is not the first smartphone with an inbuilt projector to have been released. We have seen brands including Motorola having released smartphones that had tiny projectors inside them.

Movi smartphone features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display (1920X1080 pixels), 13 MP rear camera with single LED flash and an 8 MP front camera. It is available in two variants, 3 GB RAM/32 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM/64 GB ROM. The storage can be extended up to 128 GB and comes with a hybrid SIM card slot.

The smartphone is embedded with Laser HD 720 P projector and comes with a 4,000 mAh battery that works for 4 hours while the projector is on. According to the product page, "The 50 Lumens projector allows the end user to use any flat surface as an additional screen to enjoy and share their favourite digital content such as; movies, videos, games, etc. Project HD quality digital content up to 100-inch on the fly, anywhere anytime."

The Movi phone comes with 32-bit octa-core processor sporting MediaTek MT6750V/WT chipset, which has Mali-T860 GPU.

Connectivity option include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4, NFC and Bluetooth 4.2. It can be connected to up to 8 devices in the hotspot mode.
