NORTH KOREA’s threat could be stopped with the assassination of Kim Jong-un and the help of the Chinese, according to American lawyer Jim Rickards.
North Korea’s threat of starting World War 3 could be ended with the assassination of Kim Jong-un, said American lawyer Jim Rickards.
Speaking to RT News, he said the probability of a war is “very high”.
Mr Rickards added: “There are two outcomes: one is Kim Jung-un gets assassinated and this regime changes.

“We'd probably only do that with the help of the Chinese, but it’s pretty clear the Chinese are not on board. There is maybe a 20 percent probability.
“The other probability is Kim Jong-un stands down, he verifiably, voluntarily gives up his weapons development programme.
“I’ll give that maybe a 10 percent chance. He’s not going to do, he might pretend, but he’s not going to do it in 25 years.
“This has been dumped in Donald Trump’s lap but it’s surely the fault of Clinton, Bush and Obama.”

Foreign Ministry officials in the North made it clear that the hermit kingdom does not want war with the US.
They claim they are convinced the US is set on a course for preventive war and is shaping the battlefield for military operations against the North.
North Korean officials said: “Our soldiers have long been sleeping without removing their boots.”
Foreign and Military Affairs Correspondent Mr Vorontsov spent time in North Korea and claims it was a sobering experience.
Writing in 38North, he said: “During my visit, I heard nothing to suggest that North Korea is prepared, at this time, to be the first to accept the Russian and Chinese proposal for a freeze on its missile and nuclear tests in return for American agreement to freeze its joint military exercises with South Korea.
"The North Koreans insisted their sovereignty be respected and rejected any preconditions.
“Although my North Korean interlocutors acknowledged that the Korean Peninsula was sliding toward war, they reaffirmed the country’s commitment to achieving nuclear parity with the United States.”
