Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has words of praise for the 10 members of the team's practice squad.
They are the unknown (relatively, at least) Patriots: Offensive lineman James Ferentz, wide receiver Cody Hollister, defensive back David Jones, offensive lineman Jason King, cornerback Ryan Lewis, wide receiver Riley McCarron, linebacker Trevor Reilly, defensive back Damarius Travis, tight end Will Tye and cornerback Jomal Wiltz by name.
According to Bill Belichick, though, the 10 members of the Patriots’ practice squad play an integral role on the team.
“They do a great job,” said the coach during his Thursday morning press conference in advance of Saturday night's AFC divisional playoff game with Tennessee at Gillette Stadium. “They help the team prepare for the game. They improve their individual skills and at some point those players may be needed. But in any case, they develop their own skills.”
